A great custom rod starts with a great blank. We work with top-tier manufacturers — from North Fork Composites to Rod Geeks, Stryker, Batson, MHX, and others — selecting the perfect blank for your fishing style, target species, and water type.

Then, every step is done by hand:

Guide selection & placement: We choose premium guides from trusted makers and set them where they belong based on static stress testing and real-world performance — something mass-produced rods simply can’t match.
Handles & grips: Cork, EVA, Hypalon, or Winn — each grip is custom-sized, cut, and fitted with the best waterproof epoxy available.
Thread wraps & finishes: Your choice of high-quality nylon and metallic threads are hand wrapped with precision, then sealed in multiple coats of epoxy and UV protectants for durability and timeless beauty.
Balance & performance: Each rod is carefully finished so it feels right in your hands, casts better, and fishes stronger — that’s the mark of true craftsmanship.

Turnaround & Warranty

At Goose Creek Rods, every build is done by hand with the expectation that it will be fished hard and passed down.

Blank Warranty

Each rod blank used in your custom build carries the original manufacturer’s warranty.
If a blank fails under warranty conditions:

We will help you contact the blank manufacturer and coordinate the warranty claim.
Once a replacement blank is approved and supplied, we will reuse all salvageable components from your original rod whenever possible.
Your rod will be rebuilt with the same care, attention to detail, and craftsmanship as the original build.

Manufacturer warranty terms (including what is covered, time limits, and any fees) are set by the blank maker, not by Goose Creek Rods.

Goose Creek Lifetime Guide & Tip Warranty

In addition to the blank warranty, every Goose Creek custom rod includes:

Lifetime replacement of guides and tip tops for the original owner.
Labor is always free for guide and tip replacement under this warranty.
You pay only for the cost of parts (guides, tip tops, and related components).

This warranty covers normal fishing use. It does not cover damage from abuse, neglect, non-fishing accidents, unauthorized repair/modification, or loss/theft. Warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original owner only.

How to Get Service

If you have a problem with your rod:

Contact Goose Creek Rods to discuss the issue.
Bring or ship the rod to us for inspection.
We will advise you on blank warranty options (if applicable) and provide an estimate for any non‑warranty repairs or upgrades.
