Goose Creek Rods accepts approved projects shipped from customers throughout the United States.
Please contact us before shipping any rod, reel, or other equipment. Do not ship an item until your project has been discussed and accepted by Goose Creek Rods.
Our primary services include fishing rod repair and refurbishing, custom rod work, and vintage rod and reel restoration. We do not accept reels by mail for routine cleaning, maintenance, or general repair service. Vintage and collectible reels may be accepted as part of an approved restoration project.
Shipping Items to Goose Creek Rods
Fishing Rods
Fishing rods should be shipped in a strong, heavy-duty PVC or comparable rigid shipping tube with securely fitted end caps.
Protect the rod inside the tube with foam, bubble wrap, a foam pool noodle, or similar cushioning material so the rod cannot move freely inside the tube.
Secure both ends thoroughly with shipping tape.
Vintage & Collectible Reels
For an approved vintage or collectible reel restoration, pack the reel in its original box when available, then place that box inside a larger, sturdy shipping carton with ample cushioning.
Pack all equipment with the assumption that the package may receive rough handling during transit.

Customers are responsible for adequately packing and insuring equipment shipped to Goose Creek Rods. We strongly recommend purchasing insurance sufficient to cover the full value of any rod, reel, or other equipment being shipped.
Return Shipping to You
Once your project is complete, Goose Creek Rods will select an appropriate and cost-effective shipping method based on the size, value, and destination of your equipment.
We strongly recommend purchasing adequate shipping insurance and requiring a signature upon delivery, particularly for custom rods, vintage tackle, and heirloom pieces.
Please let us know the amount of insurance you would like and whether you want signature confirmation.
Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, tracking information available to Goose Creek Rods is generally the same information available to the customer. Carrier delays, losses, theft, or delivery issues occurring after the package leaves our shop are outside the control of Goose Creek Rods.
